City & Guild Courses offered by Distant Stitch:

Distant Stitch provides a personal and fulfilling way of learning. You will be able to achieve City and Guilds qualifications at Level 3 in Embroidery and Design. Both the Certificate and Diploma Courses are in easy Modular stages. Siān Martin has written and will tutor both Courses. She has structured the City and Guilds syllabus in a logical and sequential way. The Modules use straight forward text, easy to follow diagrams and full colour pages to guide students.
Siān is an experienced teacher of stitched textiles. She guides her students individually, building on their particular strengths. Siān provides detailed written feedback in a constructive and sensitive manner. Siān enjoys the contact with all her students and is particularly pleased to actually meet and work with Distant Stitch students at the annual Summer School.
